Academics

American Heritage Academy provides instruction to all students in the core curriculum—science, math, social studies, and language arts. In addition, we provide instruction in a variety of elective subjects which students may choose as options to supplement their learning experience.

Our teaching effectiveness emanates from a well-structured learning day that sets and maintains an appropriate educational tone from the beginning to end.

Our schedule and calendar outline a strong program for students in grades PreSchool-12, with an average student-teacher ratio of 10:1. Classes are in clustered age-groups (grades) to promote interaction between older and younger students and permit greater flexibility. Children at different levels of proficiency master each subject before moving on.

When Academy students come to school, they come to important, rigorous work in a well-structured and caring environment. Both their conduct and dress must support the school's seriousness of purpose.

American Heritage emphasizes daily the self-respect that results from a child's academic accomplishment, proper behavior, and proper regard for others. Special emphasis is placed on encouraging moral development through daily prayers, scripture reading, and a variety of activities that are spiritual in orientation.
